    Internet Resource vs. Print Copy

If you discover, during the normal process of de-duping the title that you are receiving, that Stanford has an Internet resource for the same title, do the following:

    • Receive the printed copy on its own separate record.
      • Printed copies should never be added to Internet resource records.
    •

    • Send an email to the Data Control Unit
      • Subject: Merge Internet resource with print record
      • In the body of the email provide the title control records for the two records in question.

    • Route the print copy to the next processing location.
