    Receiving Loose-leafs for updating

    • Receive on new line of order. Fill in appropriate Parts information. Also include in Parts any NEW Binders that are being supplied (e.g., Lfg.57 + Bd. 13 Binder)
    • If ONLY pages are supplied:
      • Do not add a new call segment
      • Update 505 and/or Mhld IF appropriate.
      •  Make a printout of the record. The prinout should include location and call #.
      • Prepare a Campus Messenger flag to the SHELVING LOCATION (e.g., Green Loan Desk, IC, HASRC, SSRC). In the instructions area of the flag, write: "Loose-leaf for updating".
      • Send pages to Shelving Location via ID mail.

    •  IF you are adding a new binder:
      • Update 505 if appropriate. Update Mhld.
      • Add a Call segment for the new Binder.
      • Barcode.
      • Send to B&F for marking.
    • If the publisher is supplying information (e.g., NEW LABELS) indicating that the contents of previous volumes should be shifted, route the piece(s) in hand, a printout of the bibliographic record and any instructions, labels, etc. to Data Control.
