    • Only the bibliographic record accepts diacritical marks.
    • Diacritical marks are only required in the 260 field of a record that you are creating.
    • The diacritic is always entered before the letter.
    • Press, then release "Alt-1" to activate the diacritic character set, then type the case sensitive letter/symbol to enter the diacritic.
    • Here are a few of the more common diacritical marks that you might use:
