Only the bibliographic record accepts diacritical marks.
Diacritical marks are only required in the 260 field of a record that you are creating.
The diacritic is always entered before the letter.
Press, then release "Alt-1" to activate the diacritic character set, then type the case sensitive letter/symbol to enter the diacritic.
