Research Quick Start Guides: Guide for PWR Students
- Socrates is the
online catalog with information on books, periodicals, films,
recordings, computer files, archives and other library materials
available to students at Stanford.
- Research
Quick Start Guides tell you about some of the best reference
works in paper and electronic formats to help you know where to
start your research.
- Encyclopedias
and Handbooks is a selected list of sources (in paper and
electronic formats) that can provide useful descriptions, overviews,
and lists of references.
- Indexes is a selected list of indexes
(in paper and electronic formats) that can help you identify articles
in magazines, newspapers, scholarly journals and other resources.
- Databases (Alphabetical List)
lists many online indexes and bibliographies, as well as many
other online resources for those at Stanford.
- Library of Congress Call Numbers
allow you to identify which sections of the reference collections
in the Information Center, Social Sciences Resource Center Reading
Room, and Humanities and Area Studies Resource Reading Room to
browse.
