Printing in the libraries

All patrons of the library now print using the PDprint system which is the same print system available to students in the residences.

Faculty, staff, and non-Stanford affilitated patrons...can add money to their Stanford ID Card or purchase a copy card to pay for printing and photocopying at one of the Cash-to-Card machines located at various places around campus. The Cash-to-Card machines only take bills (no coins). Here's the list of locations where you will find a Cash-to-Card machine:

Instructions on how to print can be found next to the printers as well as near the kiosks and cluster machines in the libraries. Patrons using a copy card will need to release print jobs from release stations at the printer.

Students...can use the new StanfordCardPlan or a copy card. Students should take note that as of Sept. 1, 2009, the StanfordCardPlan changed from a debit system to a credit system. Students will need to sign up in order to use the new StanfordCardPlan. Go to http://fingate.stanford.edu/students/universbill/stanfordcardplan.html to learn more about the StanfordCardPlan.

Students who choose not to sign up for the StanfordCardPlan will need to purchase a copy card from one of the locations listed above in order to print in the libraries.

If using the StanfordCardPlan, students can continue releasing documents to the printer from http://printing.stanford.edu. If printing using a copy card, students will need to release print jobs from the release station located at the printer.

Note: If using a copy card to for printing, you MUST release print jobs to the printer using the release station. There are NO release stations in the dorms. Students choosing to print using a copy card will have to use printers located in the libraries.

Cost of Printing

The charge for printing from SULAIR computers is $.10 per page.
